Validation tiers
What the grade on a capture means
Tiers grade how much independent physical evidence agrees — not whether a capture is authentic. Every capture is sealed the same way; higher tiers add more agreeing sensors.
The tiers
-
Auriginal
Full sensor constellation agreed — the strongest grade this device can produce.
-
Gold
Strong physics consistency across the available sensors; minor gaps.
-
Silver
Good consistency; some sensors at reduced confidence. Still capture-attested.
-
Bronze
Capture-attested with limited sensor corroboration.
-
Not graded
Sealed and signed — sensor coverage was too thin to grade. Not a sign of tampering.
Each reading behind a tier is compared against a real-world baseline — Earth's magnetic field, standard gravity, GPS accuracy, and more. Every one of those numbers traces to a government agency, an international standard, peer-reviewed research, or an official Apple spec. See the sensor-physics baselines & citations.
